Building used as food bank up for sale in St Jude’s

By Hope Talbot  Wednesday Jun 28, 2023

A former Bristol City Mission church which used to be used as a food bank in St Jude’s is currently on the market.

Known for being a community base and distributing food and clothes to those in need, the church has since been cleared of its contents to make way for new commercial owners.

Operating since the 1950s, the church was one of many city mission churches in Bristol, many of which have been sold off, such as Owen Street Mission Church in Easton, which was sold in 2001.

The building is up for sale for £200,000, and is being let by local estate agents Lambert Smith Hampton.

The property has on-site parking as well as the possibility for a range of uses such as conversion into commercial offices.

The church has a spacious ground level, along with two upper floors which feature kitchen and office spaces.
