Businesses closed as filming takes place for BBC Three drama
All of the shops and cafes on a road in Bristol were closed to allow the filming a BBC Three drama.
Boarders is set in a fictional private school, with much of the first season filmed at Clifton College.
Filming on Wednesday took place less than half a mile away from the school, with King’s Road in Clifton Village transformed into ‘Pixley Lane’ where a market complete with traders selling fresh produce and jewellery was taking place.

After a successful first season, Boarders, a show made by Studio Lambert revolving around the lives lives of five Black students who join an elite private school, has been commissioned for a second series.
The hit comedy drama is created and written by BAFTA-nominated Daniel Lawrence Taylor, who said that he “cherished most about creating this series is showcasing Black experiences on screen and seeing how it resonates with everyone”.
“I’m especially excited to collaborate with the cast again; they are all budding superstars, and I’m overjoyed to see them bring my words to life once more! I can’t wait for you to see it!”
Journalist Molly-Rose Crossley, 35, who lives nearby, said she was “excited” to see what was being filmed in her area.
Crossley said: “While it can be disruptive to the small area, the hustle and bustle that filming brings is always fun.”
