Campaign launched following fire at primary school

By Hannah Massoudi  Thursday Dec 19, 2024

A GoFundMe campaign has been organised on behalf of St. Michael’s School Parent Teachers and Friends Association, to support St. Michael’s Primary School in Stoke Gifford following a devastating fire.

On December 8, a fire destroyed the school conservatory and severely damaged two Year One classrooms, resulting in the loss of all classroom materials, equipment, and the children’s work.

While insurance will cover basic replacements, this fundraiser aims to provide additional resources to ease the disruption and support the transition to new spaces.

They’re aiming to raise £1,500 and all funds raised will go towards new equipment such as early maths kits, foam counters, mosaic shapes, and other essential items identified by teachers.

They also have an Amazon Wish List for specific items that people can buy.

The cause of fire still remains unknown.
