Cathedral bells ring out for Cathedral School

By Bristol24/7  Monday Feb 22, 2016

Bristol Cathedral bells rang out on Friday afternoon to celebrate Bristol Cathedral Choir School’s outstanding Ofsted report.

A team of eight bell-ringers gathered in the north-west tower for their specially arranged afternoon session, where they rang Stedman triples – a 17th-century method of bellringing – for 30 minutes as pupils were leaving school.

School principal Neil Blundell said: “This report is testament to a great deal of hard work on the part of my colleagues and our students over the seven-and-a-half years since the school became an academy.

is needed now More than ever
Keep our city's journalism independent.

“We have relentlessly focused on all the things that go to make a great school, including high standards of teaching, learning and assessment, but also personal development, pastoral care and, as we are a faith school, a caring, Christian ethos.”
