Clifton Suspension Bridge (of biscuits)
A tribute to Clifton Suspension Bridge has been constructed from 25,000 biscuits in celebration of Bristol holding the most coffee mornings in the South West.
Macmillan Cancer Support built a version of the local landmark ahead of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning due to be held on Friday, September 30.
The biscuit bridge sits alongside other replica local landmarks, and will be displayed in the window of the Koppel Project on Baker Street London.
is needed now More than ever
Its construction follows the creation of a gingerbread suspension bridge last year and a suspension bridge for cats earlier this year.
Macmillan said: “The landmarks have all been chosen to give thanks to the millions of people that helped raise £27.6 million during last year’s event alone.
“Macmillan is encouraging people to sign up to host a World’s Biggest Coffee Morning this year by visiting www.macmillan.org.uk/coffee. Whether big or small, baked or faked, each and every coffee morning helps change the lives of people affected by cancer.”
