‘Crack Alley’ to close for 12 months
One of Bristol’s most notorious thoroughfares will be closed for at least a year.
Hepburn Road – also known as ‘Crack Alley’ – has closed due to building work for a new development of nine private rental apartments, 56 student bedrooms and two workshop spaces.
Some listed facades on Stokes Croft will also be restored as part of the scheme from Westbury-on-Trym-based Arturus Architects.

Hepburn Road between Stokes Croft and Brigstocke Road came to wider prominence when it was featured in Drugsland on BBC Three.
The documentary followed an Avon & Somerset police investigation into a ‘county lines’ drug dealing network.
