Cycle racks at Temple Meads to be moved to new temporary location
When the long-awaited redevelopment of Bristol Temple Meads is finally completed, most of the station’s bicycle parking will be located at the new ‘southern gateway’ entrance accessed via Bath Road.
For now, however, things are rather more temporary, with the current cycle parking on Friary now due to be moved again to a new short-term location.
The latest makeshift move for Temple Meads’ bike racks comes after they were moved from inside to outside due to the refurbishment of the station roof.
is needed now More than ever
During February and March, the racks’ new temporary location will be area of the station’s outdoor car park behind the Midland Shed.

The first of the racks along Friary will close and be removed from February 19.
Any bikes left attached to the racks after this date will be removed and placed into secure storage.
The new temporary bike park is due to open sometime during the week of March 18 when the remaining racks at Friary will also be removed.
