Dedicated bus service will be available for Balloon Fiesta
Bus operators Stagecoach have assigned a dedicated bus service to and from Temple Meads and Prince Street, directly taking passengers to the site of the 46th Balloon Fiesta – Ashton Court Estate.
These special shuttle buses will operate for the duration of the festival, across August 9 to August 11.
In an attempt to provide a “hassle free” experience for attendees, managing director of Stagecoach West, Chris Hanson, has said: “We are delighted to be back again this year, transporting thousands of visitors to and from this incredible event which is always a real highlight in our calendar.

Hanson added: “Taking the bus is convenient, hassle free, great value and better for the environment, so we’re urging visitors to leave their cars at home and let us take care of getting them to and from this year’s Balloon Fiesta.”
Tickets are priced at £7 for adults, £5 for children and £20 for groups of five. They can be bought either on the festival’s official website or directly on the bus via cash or contactless methods.
Buses from Temple Meads will be leaving at frequent intervals after 11.30am until 9pm on Friday, 10am until 9pm on Saturday and 10am until 7pm on Sunday.

Buses from Prince Street, adjacent to Queen Square, will have departures from 11.40am to 9.10pm on Friday, 10.10am to 9.10pm on Saturday and 10.10am to 7.10pm on Saturday.
The buses back to Temple Meads and Prince Street will pick up passengers from near the pedestrian exit at the Balloon Fiesta from 12pm to 11.30pm on Friday, 12pm to 11.30pm on Saturday and 10.30am to 9.30am on Sunday.
For those travelling to the fiesta by car, parking tickets must be purchased in advance from the festival’s website.
Those travelling by foot and cycle are urged to use the ‘Festival Way’ that connects the city to Ashton Court and beyond.
The Clifton Suspension Bridge will be closed to pedestrians, vehicles and cyclists between 6pm and 12am on August 9 – August 11.
The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta begins on August 9 and will give Bristol three days of balloon-filled skies once again.
