Emersons Green remains identified

By Karen Johnson  Friday Nov 15, 2024

Police have confirmed that remains discovered in Emersons Green belonged to David Wilson.

The 63-year-old from Downend had not been seen since mid-May and the police had made multiple attempts to appeal for his search.

Sadly, despite these attempts no one came forward with any information about Wilson’s whereabouts.

Wilson’s next of kin have been informed and Avon and Somerset Police say they are “thinking of them”.

A police cordon was in place at the site of discovery in Emersons Green

Since the police have not found any evidence of suspicious circumstances and the forensic post-mortem of the remains proved inconclusive, the death is being treated as unexplained at the moment.

On November 5, suspected human remains that are now confirmed to be Wilson’s were found in a green space near a cul-de-sac at Apple Grove.
