Fire breaks out in caravan

By Martin Booth  Monday Apr 22, 2024

A plume of smoke could be seen across Bristol after a fire on Sunday evening.

The fire broke out in a caravan next to the cycle path that runs from the cheesegrater bridge through the Dings, sending a plume of smoke high into the air.

The caravan next to Union Road, close to the Barley Mow pub, was soon reduced to a charred shell, with numerous firefighters in attendance.

Keep our city's journalism independent.

Bristol24/7 understands that the caravan is usually lived in but nobody was inside when the fire started.

There have been various issues recently in the local area including a dog that attacked and killed a smaller dog.
