Giant Elf on the Shelf to travel around Bristol this Christmas
A giant Elf on the Shelf on Pero’s Bridge was not what children returning home from school and adults returning from work were expecting to see as the sun began to set on Wednesday evening.
The 15ft version of Santa’s little helper will be travelling around buildings across Bristol from December 1 until Christmas Eve.
The citywide game of hide and seek is being organised by the team from Redcliffe & Temple Business Improvement District, who will be putting out daily clues as to the location of the elf, who was made by Bedminster-based prop and puppet maker Jenny Simmons.
is needed now More than ever
Head of Redcliffe & Temple BID, Steve Bluff, said: “What better way to say Merry Christmas to Bristol than with a giant 15 ft elf – and we can’t wait to see what Bristol names our very own The Elf on the Shelf!
“It’s fantastic to support local talent on the national, and now international stage – and we can’t wait to delight workers, residents and visitors this festive season with a big old Christmas cracker – all while bringing festive fun to some of our city’s undiscovered areas.”
