For those dreaming of waking up by the sea after a lengthy lockdown, The Wave is offering the next best thing.
The inland surfing destination near Cribbs Causeway that opened to the public in October 2019 has just launched bookings for its new glamping-style accommodation site.
Consisting of 25 furnished tents, The Camp at The Wave is set to open from May 17, as long as lockdown restrictions allow. It is described as a space that “celebrates the simple things in life and one where you can relax, reset and reconnect”.
is needed now More than ever
Each tent comes with beds, a kitchenette with hot water, private toilet, fridge, large balcony area at the front, and a wood burner for chillier evenings, with prices starting from £105 per tent per night and rising to £200 in the peak summer season.
The tents sleep up to eight people each, with a two-night minimum stay in the week and three-night minimum stay over weekends.

The first of its kind in the world, the £25m project at Easter Compton was a long time in the making, before its eventual launch just months before the coronavirus that forced attractions to close for long periods of time.
It made Bristol the first city in the UK to host an adaptive surfing competition in October.
