Harbour Festival to introduce ‘VIP experience’
Since its inception in 1971 as ‘the Water Festival’, what we now know as Bristol Harbour Festival has always been free.
But this summer, for the first time ever, the festival’s new organisers are introducing a ‘VIP experience’.
For £15, these VIP guests are promised the best view of the main stage on the Lloyds Amphitheatre, their own exclusive bar and access to luxury toilets.
is needed now More than ever
The 2024 Harbour Festival from July 19 to 21 is being organised by Surrey-based Proud Events in collaboration with Swans Events from Doncaster.
A new attraction will be Millennium Square being transformed into the ‘Expression Stage’ for a series of performances.
There will be talks, panel discussions featuring Bristol Beacon, Ujima Radio and Saffron Records; poetry by Rebecca Tantony; spoken word; and a silent disco by Disco Neurotico.

Leader of Bristol City Council, Tony Dyer, called Bristol a “powerhouse for arts and culture”.
Dyer said: “We’re really thrilled with the introduction of the Expression Stage and putting on talks from industry leaders.
“As a city, we’re passionate about supporting home-grown talents, and these discussion panels will give them further insights and inspiration.
“This year’s lineup truly captures Bristol’s commitment to breaking moulds and amplifying diverse voices, highlighting Bristol’s vibrant heritage and creative landscape.”
