By Bristol24/7  Tuesday Sep 4, 2018

What does a better Bristol mean to you?

We have been running a survey to find out what you think of Bristol24/7, specifically our social impact work.

Almost 400 of you (74 per cent of those surveyed) have responded and told us that that you don’t know much about this work but you would like to know more.

Independent journalism
is needed now More than ever
Keep our city's journalism independent.

In response to this we would like to invite you to join us for an evening of art, food, music and discussion to celebrate the best of Bristol, and look forward to shaping the future of this fantastic city.

The event will begin with welcomes from Bristol24/7 and introductions to some of the activities you can be involved in, including a workshop with Chris Johnson – co-founder, operations director and sustainability lead for Shambala festival.

Join us for a unique event.

The event will be held on Wednesday, September 19 at 6.30pm at the Paintworks Event Space on Bath Road. Spaces are limited and are first-come-first-served so be quick to sign up.

The event will take place as part of Expressions, an art festival from the Milestones Trust showcasing the artistic work of people with mental health needs and learning disabilities in the South West.

Tackling mental health is one of your top priorities to make a better Bristol (80 per cent of you ranked this as your number one issue), shortly behind the environment and housing and homelessness.

You’ve told us you would like Bristol24/7 to be involved in tackling social issues (87 per cent) and so the event will give you the opportunity to guide us as we make bigger plans to have a positive impact on the city.

If you’re unable to attend the event, or you simply have five minutes to spare please do tell us what you think in this short, follow-up survey.

As a thank you anyone who enters will be in with a chance of winning a meal for two at The Greenbank, The Grace or Rosa. There will be three lucky winners that will be announced once the survey is closed in September.
