In a glorious riot of colour and sequins, Bristol Pride returned to the city for 2022.

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, thousands turned out to celebrate, connect with each other and protest ongoing injustices against the LGBTQ+ community.

With the sun shining bright overhead, people gathered in Castle Park for a march that wound its way through the city centre before coming to an eventual finish by Millennium Square.

The official Pride Day celebrations on the Downs ran through into the evening with yet more fabulous outfits, performances of music, dance, circus, cabaret, art and solidarity – even throwing in a surprise announcement from mayor Marvin Rees ahead of headliner Carly Rae Jepsen.
