Jack’s mother says family has had ‘no support from authorities’
Avon & Somerset Police chief constable Sarah Crew says her force has “a shared aim” with the family of Jack O’Sullivan: to find the missing law student.
It comes as Jack’s mother, Catherine, says she and her family have had “no support from the authorities that should be helping” in the search for her son.
Twenty-three-year-old former Clifton College pupil Jack has not been seen since he left a house party in Hotwells on March 2.

In an interview in the upcoming November/December edition of Bristol24/7 magazine, Crew said: “I want to recognise the immense distress Jack’s disappearance has had on his family and all those who love him.
“It’s impossible to comprehend what impact this continues to have on them and they are always in our thoughts.
“They are desperate to know what’s happened to Jack and I know I speak for all those involved in the search over the past seven months, that we’re sorry we haven’t been able to give them these definitive answers so far.
“We have a shared aim with Jack’s family. We want to find out what happened to him after the last likely sighting on CCTV in Bennett Way, in the early hours of Saturday, March 2.
“We have an Assistant Chief Constable overseeing what remains an active missing person investigation and I’m being kept regularly updated on its progress.
“We’ve kept an open mind from the outset, always making sure we’re being led by the evidence. We’re still actively appealing for anyone with information about Jack’s disappearance to come forward.”

The Find Jack Facebook page now has more 74,000 followers.
Writing on the page on Saturday, Catherine wrote of her “total disbelief” that “nobody on earth seems to know where he is”.
Catherine, who lives in Flax Bourton, said: “This time last year Jack was preparing to run the Bath Half marathon in memory of his great friend Adam.
“I sit here tonight in total disbelief to think Jack is not here with us and nobody on earth seems to know where he is.
“If anyone out there knows what happened to Jack on the night of 2/3/24 or where he is now please let us or someone know.
“Any information (however small ) may help us in our quest to find him!
“I appreciate for some this is now becoming a little boring – I get told, just accept it, Jack has gone and you need to move on!
“Really- what mother on this earth would ever consider giving up on her child??
“Jack is one of the most important things in my life and I will not give up until I get an answer!
“We have no support from the authorities that should be helping so it’s totally down to our family, friends and the public to keep up the fight.
