Jeremy Corbyn to attend General Election rally in Filton
It is only a week since Jeremy Corbyn had to pull out of speaking at a Bristol rally, but a lot has happened in politics since then.
With a General Election campaign officially underway, Labour supporters have another chance to hear the party leader, who is set to take to the stage at an event in Filton on Saturday, November 2.

Corbyn will join Mhairi Thelfall, Labour’s prospective parliamentary candidate for Filton and Bradley Stoke, at an as-yet-undisclosed location, to set out the “radical agenda to challenge the super-rich and put money and power back in the hands of the people”.

All four Bristol constituencies turned red following the last General Election in 2017, when Darren Jones ousted Conservative Charlotte Leslie from the Bristol North West seat, to join the city’s three other Labour MPs.
Now the location of Saturday’s rally is an indication the party is setting its sights on the Tory-held South Gloucestershire constituencies.
