Man hospitalised after city centre assault
A man was taken to hospital for treatment after an assault in Bristol city centre.
Police were called to Broad Quay at around 4.10pm on Saturday to respond to reports of a man being assaulted.
Buses were not able to use the road following the incident and officers were taking statements from people in the Turtle Bay restaurant.

The victim’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing, police say.
They are asking anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident but has not yet spoken to police to call 101 and quote reference 5223225917.
