Manhunt continues after human remains found in suitcases

Police have released photos of the man suspected to have left suitcases with human remains at the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

The man is described as black with a beard, last seen wearing a black Adidas baseball cap, black jeans, black jacket and black trainers with white thick soles.

He was also seen carrying a black backpack.

A police helicopter and the coastguard have conducted large-scale searches for the man but have been so far unable to locate him.

CCTV footage from the area is being scoured to trace the movements of the suspect who is believed to have left the bridge on the Leigh Woods side soon before midnight on Wednesday evening.

The Clifton Suspension Bridge remains closed until further notice.
