Marchers protest against media bias in Israel-Hamas war
A march through Bristol called out alleged media bias and what those taking part claimed is “the deliberate targeting and mass murder” of journalists documenting the Israel-Hamas war.
Starting at the water tower on the Downs, the march soon went by the AXA office on Redland Hill.
March organisers Bristol Palestine Alliance (BPA) advocate a boycotting of AXA, claiming that the insurance company “funds Israeli illegal settlements and arms manufacturing”.

On their way from the Downs, the march stopped on Whiteladies Road outside the Bristol headquarters of the BBC, who protesters claim show “complicity in the genocide” in their news coverage.

BPA claim that “the western media continues to support and encourage the ‘othering’ of Palestinians”.
A flyer for the event also claimed that “IDF soldiers deliberately target journalists” including prominent Palestinian reporter Shireen Abu Akleh who was killed while wearing a blue press vest.
Saturday’s march finished with a rally on College Green.
