More installations announced for Bristol Light Festival
Bristol Light Festival 2025 has announced its newest installations.
Parallels and Tetra are the latest show stopping artworks to join the lineup for Bristol Light Festival’s fifth edition, running from Friday, January 31 to Sunday, February 9 2025.
Joining a lineup that includes a flock of pink flamingos, a giant heart-shaped disco ball, interactive whimsical giants and much more, are two brand new pieces including a dazzling European premiere.

Visitors to the festival will experience the cosmos and the beauty of nature like never before.
Brought to the festival by Ottomata, Tetra invites audiences on a playfully interactive journey through the stars with an engaging display that responds to movement, blurring the line between the tangible and the celestial.
Transcending traditional boundaries of technology, offering a profoundly tangible and otherworldly encounter that celebrates the synergy of innovation, nature, and human creativity.

Founded in Montreal in 2017, Ottomata is renowned for their innovative public installations, this trailblazing studio seamlessly blends design and cutting-edge technology to create experiences that captivate and empower audiences in equal measure.
Hugo Laliberté and Jonathan Jeanson of Ottomata, said: “We can’t wait to see how people respond to the artwork, as the audiences’ ability to interact with Tetra through touch, and using the weight of their whole body is quite unique.
“We are eager to see the artwork transform with each person’s input.”

Joining this stellar lineup is Parallels by Adventure Social Club, a breathtaking laser-crafted exploration of natural phenomena, which will blend light, sound, and the elements to celebrate the harmony between art and nature.
Parallels transforms moving footage into a radiant symphony of light and sound, inviting audiences to lose themselves in the bliss of nature.

The installation is uniquely responsive to its environment, with weather and the elements shaping an ever-evolving experience.
Satyajit Das, creative director of Architecture Social Club, said: “In our experience, Bristol is one of the UK’s most special, creative and culturally rich cities.
“We’re really excited to bring Parallels here for its South West premiere and to share our ideas with the amazing people of Bristol.”

The festival is curated by multi award-winning creative director, Katherine Jewkes.
Bristol Light Festival is free to attend and runs daily from 5pm to 10pm, creating moments of joy and discovery for everyone.
