More than 100 people attend illegal warehouse rave
Dozens of people attended a rave in a warehouse in south Bristol on Saturday evening which carried on until Sunday morning.
Police estimate that more than 100 people were at buildings forming part of the vacant Ashton Rail Yard, a site which has been unused since 2013 and where plans for 220 new flats have been approved.
Owned by Homes England, the site is next to the Festival Way cycle path off Clanage Road, between Bedminster Cricket Club and the segregated metrobus route.

Soon before midday, there were four police riot vans at the Bower Ashton side of the land, with another police car near the Brunel Way pump track.
Bristol24/7 saw several partygoers making their way in both directions from the warehouses, with one police vehicle still on site at 1.30pm.

In a statement on Sunday, an Avon & Somerset Constabulary spokesperson said: “Police have today been at the scene of an unauthorised music event in South Bristol.
“Officers attended in the early hours of the morning and identified a warehouse, off Clanage Road, where the event was being held. We estimate more than 100 people were able to access the site prior to police attendance.
“A police presence subsequently remained in the area, with officers successfully preventing more people attending.
“Efforts to bring the event to a safe conclusion have taken place throughout the morning. The music was turned off shortly after noon and the vast majority of people who were still inside the premises at that time have now left.”
