By Milan Perera  Tuesday Aug 20, 2024

Izzy Thorpe and Kate Shortman made a surprise visit to Bristol Children’s Hospital after winning silver medals in artistic swimming at the Olympics.

They received a heroes’ welcome when they walked through the corridors of the hospital as the young patients greeted them wearing replica medals.

To mark the event in style there were silver streamers and flags in the corridors of the hospital as Izzy and Kate arrived.
