Post box gets Valentine’s Day treatment
A yarn bomber has struck again at her favourite location in north Bristol.
Judy McIntosh’s latest creation, atop the post box outside the Sea Mills Post Office in Shirehampton Road, is a real work of love.
The knitted scene depicts a kneeling man presenting a ring to a demure-looking lady who is sitting on a park bench.

“The pattern for the figures said it was supposed to be the Beckhams, but I was a bit worried about the faces,” says Judy.
“It’s a good job they don’t live round here,” she adds with a laugh.

The post box topper is one of a series Judy has created over the past year. Her past creations include one for the Platinum Jubilee and another for the Queen’s funeral.
She also created a Christmas topper and says her next challenge will be one for the Easter period.
