By Martin Booth  Friday Aug 30, 2024

An e-scooter rider in his 50s has been taken to hospital after a serious collision in south Bristol.

The collision happened at around 3.30pm on Friday on Coronation Road close to Gaol Ferry Bridge.

A police cordon was still in place close to the bridge at 6pm with number evidence markers on the floor, including next to an e-scooter on its side at the top of the path that once led down to the ferry across the New Cut.

The condition of the man remains unknown and his next of kin have yet to be traced.

Police are appealing for anyone with any dashcam footage which could help to call 101 and give the reference 5224229444.
