Single-vehicle collision causes significant damage
Police tapes have secured the scene of a collision that caused significant damage to pedestrian infrastructure, after what is known to be a single-vehicle collision on Thursday morning.
The police have confirmed that the collision at the bottom of Bridge Valley Road was reported at approximately 9.50am before officers arrived at the scene.
Officers secured the scene with police tapes, that are still present surrounded by what looks like parts of the damaged vehicle.

Fortunately, no serious injuries as a result of the incident were reported.

The incident occurred at the start of the A4176 slope, leading towards Bridge Valley Road and the Downs.
Bristol24/7 has contacted Bristol City Council about the damage to the lamppost.
