Something in the water at ss Great Britain

Brunel’s ss Great Britain traveled many thousands of miles during her long and illustrious career, but never before has there been a sight quite like the one greeting visitors this weekend.

A dozen glossy black shark fins currently encircle the historic hull, part of an installation called Frenzy by artist Olivia Croce.

The installation is first being seen by visitors to the Museums at Night event on Friday evening and will be staying until at least Sunday afternoon, with the possibility of being extended into next week.

As if that isn’t enough, there is also a fin on the front of Matilda, one of the Bristol Ferry Boats vessels.
