Square Food Foundation joins forces to double donations this Christmas
Square Food Foundation has announced it will match all donations this christmas to help those who may have to choose between heating and eating this winter.
The organisation, which aims to tackle food insecurity by teaching adults and children to cook, is taking part in the Christmas Challenge in the hopes of raising £20,000 in one week.
Every donation made to Square Food Foundation will be matched by The Big Give’s Champions during the campaign, meaning donations will be able to support twice as many families,

All the funds raised will go towards Square Food Foundation’s recipe kits. Over 120 recipe kits are sent out every week to local families.
One in eight households in Bristol are experiencing food insecurity and this is expected to rise over the next few months amid a cost of living crisis.
Each kit contains fresh ingredients to cook a healthy meal from scratch, a recipe card to use again, and handy tips on cooking efficiently and economically.
As well as its recipe kits, Square Food Foundation also runs How To Be A Chef, a 12-week free vocational programme in food and cooking.
The course provides young people with skills for employability and opportunities for progression to further catering-related learning and employment.
The campaign will close on Tuesday, December 6. Anyone who wants to donate can set a reminder and add Square Food Foundation’s campaign page to make sure they donate in time.
