St Paul’s charity makes announcement with a heavy heart
A charity which supports marginalised women is facing its ‘biggest fundraising challenge to date’.
One25, which helps women move from crisis and trauma towards independence, has announced it must make cuts to some of its services.
A recent post on its website reads: ‘We have taken steps to grow our income, but this has been extremely challenging in the current climate.
is needed now More than ever
‘Therefore, we have had to draw on our reserves and are sadly now in a position where we cannot continue all our current work’.
…We are so very grateful for the dedicated staff, partners and supporters who have made so much possible over the years. We, and the women we support, need you as always. Thank you.” pic.twitter.com/XbSHOOtra6

The post continued: ‘In the face of this, we have had to consider what is most critical for the women we support.
‘We need to focus now on how to keep reaching the most marginalised women and support them to be safer.’
The St Paul’s charity, which will continue its outreach van service seven nights a week, is currently in talks with its staff on a proposed restructure.
Its ‘pause’ programmes, which support women who have had two or more children removed from their care, will continue to run while funding is in place.
Although, it does not expect its current drop-in or ‘peony’ services will be able to continue.

CEO of One25, Jenny Riley, said: “As we look to the future, we will continue to do the best that we can with the resources that we have, to listen to what the women tell us they need and respond as we are able.
“We are so very grateful for the dedicated staff, partners and supporters who have made so much possible over the years. We, and the women we support, need you as always. Thank you.”
