Suitcases suspect named as more human remains found

By Martin Booth  Saturday Jul 13, 2024

More human remains have been found in the investigation following two suitcases containing the bodies of two men being dumped on the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

It comes as the man suspecting of leaving the suitcases on Wednesday night has been named as Yostin Andres Mosquera, a 24-year-old from Colombia.

The Met Police, who are now leading the investigation, believe that the remains found at a flat in Scotts Road in Shepherd’s Bush, west London, are connected to the human remains found in Bristol.

Both male victims, who the police have not yet named, are believed to have been known to Mosquera.

Met Police deputy assistant commissioner Andy Valentine said: “This is a fast moving enquiry with detectives in London and Bristol actively pursuing a number of lines of enquiry.

“Locating Yostin Andres Mosquera, however, is the priority and I appeal to anyone with information on his whereabouts to get in touch.”
