Thousands cheer on Tour of Britain in Bristol

By Pamela Parkes  Thursday Sep 11, 2014

Huge crowds turned out in Bristol to support the world’s cycling elite as they battled their way along the Portway, the steep climb up Bridge Valley Road and the final push along the Downs.

Stage Four from Worcester to Bristol was won in a unbelievably fast finish by Polish rider Michal Kwiatkowski.

Cycling heroes Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish had a rock star welcome after the race as hundreds of people waited for a glimpse and an autograph.

If you missed the action then Bristol 24-7 was on the finish line and here’s our 60 second video round up of all the excitement.
