Three Lloyds banks across Bristol to close
Three banks and one building society across the Bristol area will be closing by the end of 2025 as people increasingly switch to digital devices for their day-to-day banking.
The Lloyds banks due to close are on the Clifton Triangle, on Highridge Road in Bishopsworth and on Gloucester Road in Patchway.
The Halifax branch in the Kings Chase shopping centre in Kingswood is also closing.
is needed now More than ever
“Alongside our apps, customers can also use telephone banking, visit a community banker or use any Halifax, Lloyds or Bank of Scotland branch, giving access to many more branches,” a Lloyds spokesperson said.
“Customers can also do their everyday banking at over 11,000 branches of the Post Office or in a banking hub.”
Thornbury has been recommended to be one of 21 places across the UK to have a ‘banking hub’
These hubs see banks share premises for basic banking services.
