Two more unicorns damaged on first weekend of sculpture trail
Two unicorns have had their horns damaged during the first weekend of Unicornfest in Bristol.
One of the sculptures on Welsh Back had just the hollow stump of a horn remaining on its head on Sunday afternoon, while another horn had been completely removed from a creature on Gloucester Road.
They join a sculpture outside St Mary Redcliffe which had its horn damaged before this summer’s charity trail had even started.

Unicornfest organisers have not commented on the latest damage to the sculptures, but after the first unicorn’s horn was broken they said they were “dismayed” at the vandalism.
The statement said: “We urge all members of the public to enjoy the trail by simply looking and taking photos of the unicorns.
“Please do not climb or stand on the plinths and please do not touch their horns. We want as many people as possible to enjoy this trail and we need to avoid incidents like this.
“This is a charity event to raise money and awareness for Leukaemia Care UK and every single breakage takes away from money being raised to support leukaemia patients and their families.
“If you’d like to support Leukaemia Care financially during the trail, you can scan the Moneyhub QR code on the plaques. Alternatively, donate at www.leukaemiacare.org.uk/donate”
