Victim named as two men charged with murder

Two men have been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Horfield in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Tomasz Stankiewicz, 39, was stabbed on Filton Avenue at around 3.45am before driving to Oakley Road. He was then taken to Southmead Hospital by ambulance where he sadly died.

Gegin Assad, 23, of Horfield, and Ferahg Fukeri, 28, of Lockleaze, have both been charged with the murder of Tomasz .

Assad and Fukeri are due to appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

A third man arrested in connection with the murder inquiry has been released under investigation.
