Video: Mass brawl breaks out on Clifton Triangle

By Martin Booth  Saturday Mar 4, 2017

Chairs flew through the air and metal barriers were used as weapons in a mass brawl that broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning on the Clifton Triangle.

Four people were stabbed during the fight outside Analog nightclub and neighbouring Wahaca restaurant on Queen’s Road, and two men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray.

Multiple police cars and ambulances arrived around 4.30am, with many clubbers inside the 850-capacity venue prevented from leaving until police told them it was safe.

A witness told The Tab: “When the police and ambulances arrived there were people trying to fight the police and take the paramedics from the people who were lying still on the ground.”

They said that it “was quite distressing to watch” as people had been lying on the ground “dead still for a long time but it didn’t stop them kicking and stamping on them”.
