Are you passionate and knowledgeable about climate change and having a positive impact? Do you love writing, talking to people, investigating and hosting events? We’re hiring a dedicated Climate & Sustainability Editor and we’d love to hear from you.
Following a successful trial period of six months, we are pleased to be able to extend our project to have Bristol’s only dedicated Climate and Sustainability Editor. This is an incredibly important role with the potential to create real change in our city.

is needed now More than ever
Our small team produces content that is read by hundreds of thousands of people – an audience that’s growing all the time. We’re looking for someone to help us report on the climate crisis and solutions needed, shine a light on positive actions happening in Bristol, hold local governments to account and connect people and communities with ideas and businesses.
We believe in celebrating people’s differences. So regardless of your background or personal characteristics, we want to hear from you.
Please note: this is initially a part time, freelance role for 1.5 days a week at a rate of £90 per day on an initial contract of six months. We do anticipate that we will be able to find further funding to extend it to at least a 12 month contract and hope it will become a permanent role.
If you are from a background that is not well represented in the media industry/climate movement, we want to hear from you. This includes if you are:
- a person who experiences racism and/or
- a disabled person and/or
- a person who identifies as having a working class background and/or
- a person who was eligible for free school meals as a child
We value the positive impact greater representation will have on our company, content and culture. If you have any questions about our organisation, our accessibility or recruitment process we want to hear from you.
