Charmaine Lawrence, also known as Skrilla UGQ, is an entrepreneur and artist, and the founder and CEO of the Mogul Minded Group, and N9NE Cosmetics.

The Mogul Minded Group specialises in networking events and business advice and support for entrepreneurs and small businesses, while N9NE Cosmetics is a new all natural skincare brand, handmade in Bristol.

Urban Kustom

“Bristol is home to some of the most creative minds that the UK has to offer. Created by local designer Shelica Williams, Urban Kustom is a Bristol-based customisation service that specialises in customising trainers, hats, and clothing as well as embroidery services for business owners, allowing customers to add their own personal touch to their attire. Bespoke, authentic, creative and different, Urban Kustom is designed with the creative individual in mind.”

Full Circle @Docklands

Full Circle charity has been of service to the Bristol community for over 30 years. Providing a safe space and a variety of activities for young people as well as various support sessions that reaches all members of our community. Some of Full Circle’s services are youth sessions, a Somali Woman’s Group, woman’s basketball, Olympic fencing, summer camps and day trips plus more. Full Circle welcomes volunteers so if you would like to help out at the local charity please feel free to contact them.” 

Wordlife hip hop night

“Bristol’s music scene is growing and one night that is very popular is the Wordlife monthly hip hop events. Hosted by Crudely Cut Records frontman Steven ‘Krazy’ Draper and previously held at the Snug Bar in Stokes Croft, Word Life has created a much-needed platform for hundreds of Bristol artists, allowing them to showcase their talents and skills to a wider audience as well as bringing many talented acts from across the UK to perform in our great city.”

BCFM & Ujima Radio: One Love Breakfast Show

“Bristol is a vibrant city that champions equality. It is amazing that two of our largest radio stations found a way to come together to reach all four corners of our city every morning with the One Love Breakfast Show. Hosted by local legend Pat Hart plus guests every morning from 6am to 10am. You can enjoy great music, local news and a lot of laughter. This epic morning radio show is a great way to start your day.”

St Paul’s Carnival

“Although recent years have been challenging for the St Paul’s Carnival team, it’s an epic and historic event that takes place on the first Saturday of July. Bringing hundreds of thousands of festival goers to Bristol every year to celebrate and enjoy a day of African/Caribbean heritage. With great music, entertainment, Caribbean food, carnival processions and floats, it is a day that brings people of all ages, races and cultures together.”
