These are Chloe’s top-five Bristol favourites:
The Garden of Easton

The Garden of Easton promises a “plant-filled, rustic destination for artful meals & drinks celebrating locally sourced ingredients” – photo: The Garden of Easton
“Getting to eat such delicious food in the middle of a jungle is about as good as it gets. I love Sunday mornings spent at the Garden of Easton wondering whose job it is to water all the plants and just how long it takes them.”
Clifton Library

“My job is to tell stories of the natural world but I have always been in awe of people who write actual books. To hold a new book in my hands is a thrill. I really love a library and this little one is very special to me. I took my daughter to singing sessions on the carpet when she was a baby and now we go to choose books together. Local resources like this that nurture creativity and support people of all ages should be treasured.”
Bianchis

“For a celebratory dinner, Bianchis in Montpelier is the best of the best in my book. It’s special without being stuffy and the food is always amazing. The people that run this and the other places in their group (I love Pazzo and Cotto too) just somehow know how to find and the keep the nicest people working for them – which must mean they’re pretty nice people too!”
Belle du Jour Florist

“Belle Du Jour Florist can be found via a tiny hole in the wall at the top of The Mall in Clifton Village stuffed full of the prettiest flowers. Kika, her family and team know everyone and everyone knows them. Going there to pick some flowers for a special person or occasion is such a treat and I always feel like I’m on a film set. They show you can make a big, beautiful impact in a teeny tiny space!”
The Louisiana

“What would Bristol be without music? We’ve used tracks from some really exciting up and coming global artists on the Queens soundtrack and recently my husband and I went to see MEGA play at the Louisiana. We were so lucky to get to see someone so talented in such an intimate space. You can spend less than a tenner and enjoy something new and inspiring. What could be better?”
