These are Joana’s top-five Bristol Favourites:
Boat trip to Beeses
“My most recent discovery was the boat trip to Beeses. You can do it by Bristol Ferry or Bristol Packet from April to the end of September.
“There’s live music in the evenings and a really delicious, fulfilling roast on Sundays – nothing pretentious, just really good food, great service and a completely different scenic trip by the Avon.
The OddShop

“As a coffee lover, it’s really important for me to find the combination of good food and good coffee and the OddShop definitely offers it.
“It’s the best pancake dough that I ever tried, with the traditional maple syrup and bacon combination pairing perfectly with a good cup of filter coffee.”

“One of the most amazing landscapes in Bristol, with beautiful gardens, ponds and playground, is almost a hidden gem if it wasn’t between the centre, Clifton and Hotwells.
“It’s quite often really quiet and perfect to relax and drink a cup of coffee from Gather – just a couple of minutes away from there on Park Street.”
Street art

“Beyond Banksy, Bristol has so much to offer. It’s hard to walk around the city and not get involved in the lively graffiti and drawings.
“You can book walks to see and learn more about important drawings, but also you can go to St Paul’s, Stokes Croft, UpFest and Bedminster, and spend hours admiring every single detail. I absolutely love it!”
The Barley Mow

The Barley Mow in St Philip’s is a hidden gem that serves great food says Joana – photo: Martin Booth
“As a mother of two, it is not really often that I can enjoy an evening in the pub, but when I can I always go to The Barley Mow.
“As much as this pub is well known by Bristolians, it keeps the vibe of a hidden gem, has great burgers, great Sunday roasts and really friendly staff. Absolutely one of my favourites.”
