is needed now More than ever
St Mary Redcliffe Church

“St Mary Redcliffe Church is an incredibly peaceful and self-reflective place to visit in Bristol that show cases some stunning architecture. If you are lucky, your visit may be timed with a piano recital, regularly practiced by the individuals who work there.”
Chez Candice

“I discovered this place via a tip-off from a coffee industry friend. Chez Candice cooks up a concise menu from a horsebox on watercress farm in St Werburgh’s. The food is always fresh and grown by them, and the setting is gorgeous. Enjoy the walk down through the allotments and farms on your way from town.”
The Green Man

“The Green Man in Kingsdown is exactly what a friendly neighbourhood pub should be: unpretentious and inviting, and the beer is always fresh and top notch. Phil, Suzi and little Ted are very warm and welcoming landlords; they really help tie the place together. There are always board games laying around and a substantial collection of Top Trumps sat on the bar.”
Metford Road Community Orchard

“At the end of the allotments north of the stream at Redland Green is a wonderful community-led green space. Boasting a variety of fruit trees and bushes including an incredibly diverse range of wildlife, it’s hard to believe a place like this exists so centrally in Bristol. Metford Road Community Orchard is open to everyone, so make sure to get involved in the workdays and take home some of the many varieties of apples for your crumble.”
Leigh Court Farm

“This longstanding organic fruit and veg growers offer an amazing veg box service throughout Bristol, providing some of the best local produce you can get your hands on. Leigh Court Farm.is situated just over the Suspension Bridge and houses a two-acre historic Victorian walled garden, still very much in use today. Visit their stall at the Whiteladies Road farmers market on a Saturday to see what they have to offer.”
