These are Mister Samo’s top-five Bristol favourites:
Upfest
“Upfest is such an incredible event and loved by so many people across the globe. What an honour it is to be chosen as this year’s headline artist! To be surrounded by hundreds of artists who will be coming to Bristol to transform the city with unbound creativity. It’s an absolute staple event in Bristol, and we’re so lucky to have it.”
Koocha

“I’m such a big foodie, and when I stumbled across Koocha on Cheltenham Road, I knew it was going to become a new favourite of mine. Their menu has some of the best Persian and Middle Eastern food in the city and was the first totally vegan restaurant in Bristol. The saffron and tahini skewers are insanely good and a must-try for anyone.”
Bristol Museum & Art Gallery

“Sometimes, all you want is some peace and Bristol Museum & Art Gallery is the place to be. It’s one massive time capsule of everything and I always leave with a brand new fact to share. The collections of painting, poetry and glasswork are so beautiful and I love to learn about artists’ creative processes and inspirations.”
Bristol Beer Factory taproom

“I wouldn’t classify myself as a beer connoisseur but I’m not far off! I love new drinks from different breweries, especially local and independent ones. Bristol Beer Factory taproom on North Street is a great spot to grab a pint, maybe play a game and just hang out with friends. It’s also home to Talk Club, the men’s mental health charity, which is just brilliant.”
Bristol Pride

“It’s difficult to even begin to describe how wonderful Bristol Pride is. I mean, what a spectacle of community, inclusivity and unapologetic authenticity. I love coming to Bristol Pride to celebrate with the queer community; and above all else, it’s just so much fun. The team does a fantastic job in putting together the event, from the march through the city to the after-party. It will always hold a special place in my heart.”
