Glos beat Somerset in historic T20 victory
Ollie Price and Ben Charlesworth shared an unbeaten stand of 82 as Gloucestershire chased down their second highest T20 total to beat Somerset at a raucous Seat Unique Stadium on Friday night.
Winning the toss and choosing to field first, Glos conceded 188 runs – Tom Banton top-scoring with 79 – which in their own innings they reached with an over to spare to win by five wickets.
Player of the match Price scored 43 runs off 15 balls, ably assisted by Charlesworth on 36*, and before him Miles Hammond (39) and James Bracey (44).

“That felt pretty awesome,” Price told BBC Radio Bristol after the match.
“There are a few games in the calendar that you bookmark at the start of the year and Somerset at home is definitely one of them so I’m just absolutely thrilled to have beaten them, that was fantastic.
“It was nice coming in at a pressure moment to get a few (runs) away and it was a great evening so I’m buzzing.”

During the interval, there was a warm round of applause at the Seat Unique Stadium for former player and current club president, Syd Lawrence, who has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
The 60-year-old former England international, who also owned Dojo nightclub on Park Row before it recently closed, says he wishes to see out the entirety of his presidency at Gloucestershire.
