Bristol gets ready to host West Indies in one day international
The Brightside Ground inAshley Down will host the third one day international in England’s series against the West Indies. The match takes place on Sunday, September 24, with play scheduled to commence at 11am.
The West Indies’ tour began in mid-August and there were worrying signs, as they were embarrassed in the first test match, losing by an innings and 209 runs.
However, a poor batting display by England in the opening innings of the second test allowed the Windies to pull off a surprise win, leveling the series.

The Brightside Ground, where the match will be played
What should have been a tense final test proved to be anything but, as both teams batted poorly in the first innings. The visitors only managed a score of 123, compared to the hosts’ 194. The second innings were much more pleasing for England fans, as they proved why they are above the West Indies in the test rankings, comfortably winning by nine wickets after the opposition were all out for 177. A huge anti-climax to what had been an exciting series.
In the Twenty20 match, the West Indies proved once again why they are the world champions, with a 21-run victory against England on September 16.
