Match report: Bristol Rovers 1-1 Bromley

By Bristol24/7  Sunday Nov 10, 2019

Bristol Rovers will go to a replay against Bromley after a draw with the National League side at the Memorial Stadium.

Rovers looked to put their name in the hat for the second round of the FA Cup and a Luke Leahy goal almost instantly after he came off the bench looked to have secured their place in the next round.

But a resurgent Bromley side bundled home a set-piece through Chris Bush to take the game to a replay.

Rovers manager Graham Coughlan said that his team “didn’t turn up, we were poor today”.

He said: We’re not always poor, we didn’t do enough to win the game, but having said that, after going 1-0 in front, I would expect us to see it through.”

Coughlan added: “Bromley deserved the draw, we didn’t deserve to win the game, we weren’t good enough on the day, but we go again.”
