Great Bristol Run to take place across two days in 2025
The Great Bristol Run is introducing a new two-day format for 2025 with a ‘Super Saturday’ junior and mini event.
Children aged three to eight will run a 1.5km loop and those aged eight to 15 will take part in a 2.5k challenge, with both courses through the city centre and having the Grand Appeal as their dedicated charity.
While the spotlight will be put on young runners on Saturday, May 10; the following day will see the usual 10k and half-marathon events in which 20,000 people took part in 2024.
is needed now More than ever
Great Run Company CEO, Paul Foster, said: “We’re delighted to be able to give Bristol’s Junior & Mini runs event an opportunity to take centre stage on Saturday as its own standalone event.
“This gives our younger runners their own time to shine the day before the main event, and we hope this will allow more families to take part without impacting their plans on the Sunday.
“The move also frees up time in a packed Sunday schedule, which allows us to better cater for growing numbers in the 10km and half marathon distances.
“We look forward to welcoming the next generation of runners to the start line on Saturday 10th May.”
