Andy Robinson commits to Bristol Rugby

By Tilly Haines  Thursday Aug 25, 2016

A new deal will see Andy Robinson at the helm of Bristol Rugby until 2019.

The former England and Scotland national team boss guided the club back to the Aviva Premiership back in May.

In an interview with bristolrugby.co.uk he spoke about the progress of the club: “We knew there was a significant challenge ahead of us to take the team back to a level where we aspired to be, but I believe we are moving in the right direction.

“With Premiership rugby on the horizon, it’s a great time to be involved and to guide this squad of talented players into a new chapter for Bristol”.

Chairman Chris Booy added: “On behalf of Bristol Rugby, I’m delighted that Andy has committed his immediate future to the club.

“We have worked hard to build a strong backroom staff, playing group and environment and this stability will help us to secure our place in the top flight.

“Our ambition is to be a top four Premiership Club and to compete in Europe and we believe Andy – in his role as Director of Rugby – can help us achieve that.”
