Phoebe Murray makes England debut
Phoebe Murray made her debut for England in the first game of the WXV competition.
The Bristol Bears centre helped the Red Roses beat the USA 61-21, with Bears teammate Lark Atkin-Davies opening the scoring in Canada.
Murray is a University of Bristol graduate who combines her rugby career with working as a resident doctor.

Speaking after the match, Murray said that making her England debut was “an absolute dream come true”.
She said: “It’s something I’ve wanted for years and years. And I think it’s taken a lot of hard work to get here, but I am so happy to be here.”
