Rampaging Ravouvou helps Bristol to narrow victory against Northampton
It took almost half an hour for Bristol to get on the scoreboard against Northampton but when they did, it was only ever going to be man of the moment Gabe Ibitoye.
After an error-strewn opening, Ibitoye’s try spurred the Bears into action with Kalaveti Ravouvou crossing the line just a few minutes later for his first Premiership try.
The Fijian centre powered over for his second try midway through the second half.to take Pat Lam’s men into the lead for the first time in the match.

The boot of AJ MacGinty further extended the Bears’ lead and then man-of-the-match Joe Batley scored following some exceptional work from Ibitoye down the left wing.
A charging Harry Thacker was a welcome sight as was the scoreboard showing a Bears victory against last season’s Premiership champions, with this win taking Bristol back to the top of the current table with a game in hand over Saracens in second place.
