The biggest entry on the UWE Bristol Freshers lineup, with secret headliners and tons of
spectacles, this will be a night to remember.

It can sometimes be nice to mix up club events with gigs. There are hundreds of live events
to check out over freshers week, with Australian psych-rock duo Ocean Alley being a great
option for a feel-good night.

90S VS. 00S PARTY FEATURING DICK AND DOM, SWX
With the ultimate throwback night, noughties legends Dick and Dom are taking over SWX.
Playing fan favourites and other hits from the 90s and early 2000s, Dick and Dom are bringing
the ultimate excuse to get dressed up and boogie the night away.

ABBA DISCO WONDERLAND, SWX
For a night of disco, glitter, and 70s glam, look no further than ABBA Disco Wonderland at
SWX. Blending 70s and 80s funk, soul, and disco hits with legendary ABBA tracks, this is the
epitome of a groovy night out.

F*CK ME IT’S FRESHERS, PRYZM
Somewhat of a tradition for uni freshers, this mad event has it all. UV paint, giveaways, student
discounts – you name it and it’s there. With two rooms playing a range of genres, there is
something for everyone.

DOCUMENT OPENING PARTY WITH BRU-C, DOCUMENT
Starting their season with a bang, MC Bru-C is hosting an incredible night of drum and bass,
jungle, and UK bass at new venue DOCUMENT. Joined by the likes of Alcemist and General
Levy, this is set to be a night for the books.

SWIFTOGEDDON – THE TAYLOR THEMED CLUB NIGHT, O2 Academy
Join fellow friendship bracelet mavens for a night dedicated to Taylor Swift’s discography.
Promising extended mixes, deep cuts, and all-time fan favourites, the O2 Academy will be
transforming into a Swifties-only venue for the night.

OVERMONO, The Prospect Building
As part of their Pure Devotion tour, electronic duo Overmono is heading to The Prospect
Building. Blending traditional dance music with their own experimental flair, Overmono is set
to deliver a memorable performance.

GARAGE NATION BRISTOL FESTIVAL, Central Warehouse
Closing the summer with an indoor and outdoor day festival, Garage Nation is bringing an
immense lineup to Central Warehouse. With Oxide & Neutrino, DJ Luck & MC Neat, Sweet
Female Attitude and tons more, this is the perfect event to kickstart your first term.
There are also hundreds of alternative events to check out while you’re finding your feet in the city. Make sure to keep up to date with your student union’s events.
