College launches green skills courses to build ‘sustainable future’

By Milan Perera  Monday Feb 3, 2025

City of Bristol College has introduced a new range of green skills courses, reinforcing its dedication to sustainability and preparing students to drive the region’s transition to a greener economy.

In line with its pledge to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030, the college is addressing current environmental challenges by offering specialised programs that equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed in the evolving green sector.

The new courses cover key areas such as electric/hybrid vehicles, small-scale photovoltaic systems, and retrofitting.

Graduates will be well-prepared to make a positive impact on Bristol’s built environment and contribute to the wider green economy.

By offering tailored tasks and assessments, the college is ensuring its students are ready to shape the future of sustainability initiatives in the region.

City of Bristol College believes that its current investment in green skills highlights the institution’s leadership in sustainability-focused education.

These new sustainability-focused courses come on the heels of a major rebranding that City of Bristol College underwent last autumn. The rebrand marks a significant step forward in the college’s commitment to innovation and excellence in education.
